The My Day My Way project was launched in November 2020 following the concerns and requests of people with a learning disability across the Cwm Taf Morgannwg region about their daytime opportunities and the ongoing effects of Covid-19 and lockdown restrictions.  The project was set up to establish what life was like for people with a learning disability both prior to and during lockdown, as well as what they would like to do once lockdown restrictions were lifted.

Following the project’s findings through its Phase 1 activities, a clear need to promote the benefits and value of employment and volunteering for people with a learning disability was identified.  The My Day My Way project, through its phase 2 work has now launched a dedicated Employment Campaign to help people with a learning disability understand their options in relation to employment and to encourage more employers to hire people with a learning disability in a diversity of roles.
